CANT Z 506 B (AIRONE) Civil Registration I_LAMA

The CANT Z 506 was one of the most successful and versatile Italian seaplanes. born as a civil aircraft, it served in the Ala Littoria and was then adapted (with the addition of the lower nacelle and initials B) to the military version for the Regia Aeronautica; was employed as a maritime bomber, long-range reconnaissance and rescue aircraft; role in which he also served in the Italian Air Force until 1956. A true icon of Italian aviation, a specimen of which is kept in the Historical Museum of the Italian Air Force in Vigna di Valle. The model represents the CANT Z 506 B, modified and registered with the Civil Registration I-LAMA, used by the expert and famous test driver Mario Stoppani to achieve various cruising and altitude records with different loads.
